My Odyssey

Posted by Unknown on 4:11:00 PM

Reload Odyssey 2010. Phillip Island, Victoria. It was a loooooong journey, roughly 13 hours from CRC Seaton, well, plus the stops, it's more than that.

If I should tell you some brief details about what I learnt, it is:

Life is short

Life is pointless
and Life is complicatedly nothing.

However,
REAL Life is found when you surrender everything to Jesus.

He knew he was on the fence, he was halfway both ways. Standing in the middle. And surely, it was painful. Well, he seriously thought life was awesome, he had heaps of friends, they had enough finances, and they could afford luxuries in life. Life was amazing. It is a material world.

In the long run, he found something more than that. He found God. He believed in Him. And he trusted Him.
Then he went to a journey, he thought it was awesome for he know that God sent him to another place for a reason. He gave up things and glory for a journey to another country, a good opportunity.

"Leave your country, your people and your father's household and go to the land I will show you.I will make you into a great nation and I will bless you; Iwill make your name great, and you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you."
Genesis 12:1-3

When he was on it, he wasn’t strong enough.
He listened to the enemy, the lies that made him believe about something else. He felt disturbed, very alone and depressed. And it worked, to the point that he just refused to believe, for he saw it was consistent. I am positive that boy has a brand name ‘Christian’ but its content is less than enough to consider him one. He went to a Youth Conference beforehand going to a Christian Camp, and there he made a new decision to get off the fence and be fully with God and so he invited Jesus unto his heart. But on the last day of the Youth Conference, he didn’t stand strong, he was defeated again, and he bailed out the last day of the Youth Conference. A day after, he travelled to the east. He didn't even actually desired to go to this camp. But at the first night of the camp, He heard the words of Mark in Chapter 1, verse 17.

“Come and Follow Me.”
, as what Jesus said to the fishermen that became His’ disciples.

“Come, Follow Me.” “Come, Follow Me.”

It was stuck not only in his mind, but also in his heart.

"Let him who is without sin among you be the first to throw the first stone."
John 8:7

That night, he didn't just stood on the other side, but he started to walk with Him. And now it is for real.

For in James 4:8, it is said,
"Draw near to God and He will draw near to you."

And as he picked and chose, he shall give and surrender.

In that camp, a word from Romans 6:11 was told to him,
"So you also must consider yourselves dead to sin and alive to God in Christ Jesus."

As he surrendered his body, he was freed from the lies of the flesh and the enemy. He now knows where he is going. He's found the compass, to walk in the right direction. And now, that boy became me. He is no longer in existence. I sacrificed him to God. And now, I am the soul that controls over this human body, which is the soul that will join Our Saviour and Creator at the end my Odyssey and nobody and no body will change that!

"For me to live is Christ, and to die is gain." Philippians 1:21

I discovered that the 13 hours travel isn’t even a journey, and that the real journey is had just taken place, the Odyssey. The Odyssey with my God. The easiest choice I should’ve chose even before and should’ve fought for! And I should’ve stood firm, and kept my Faith strong!

Well, it is very easy to the point that in that Ship has a free ticket, with 5-star accommodation and amenities. And the best thing? It has a lifeguard that walks on water, and calms the storm! And so, I found the truth. Now, I’m on board, going to a destination. Not wandering and going around something.

Other than that, I found friends that stand as my family, friends that made it easier for me to go back to Him. And most especially, friends that will keep me on board the Odyssey.

Most of all, I found Him. Cause I followed Him. And now I am found too.

And as the word in Philippians 3:12-16 says, "Not that I have already obtained this or am already perfect, but I press on to make it my own, because Christ Jesus has made me his own. Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do; forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead,I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus."

And from now on, I’ll live to the word of Acts 20:24.
"I do not account my life of any value nor as precious to myself, if only I may finish my course and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God."

Stay strong in Faith!

And when Jesus is no longer walking with you, there’s only one reason for that. It’s because He’s carrying you!

I have recently received heaps of email from them: And one email contained the word from Jeremiah 29: 11-14 "For I know what I have planned for you,' says the Lord. 'I have plans to prosper you, not to harm you. I have plans to give you a future filled with hope. When you call out to me and come to me in prayer, I will hear your prayers. When you seek me in prayer and worship, you will find me available to you. If you seek me with all your heart and soul, I will make myself available to you."

And a prayer:

I have not arrived. I am far from the finish line. But I am on CHRIST'S TEAM. His love ignites me. His power fuels me. His mission compels me. I AM COMMITTED to Christ and to this race. I will run STRONG and LONG. Who will join me?

And we can't all wait 'til the next RELOAD!

God bless us all! Glory to God!!!
